I heard the beating of fingers on the tell tale keys, he's blogging again as easy as he pleases. I crept up close to have just a peek, when he turns to me and begins to speak.
"Watch where your stepping the boards are quite loose and please tuck your head, so it does not accidentially slip into the noose. I tried to warn the last customer too. But he would listen or take any off my clues. So he crept up and looked over my shoulder. His move was quite rash and couldn't have been bolder. But I…

Being passionate of all things spiritual, I became really intrigued when I read the editorial reviews of The Big Book of Soul. Finally I had the opportunity to read a book dealing with the spiritual practice of Hoodoo which focused on healing rather than hexing.
I went to a local bookstore to pick up a copy already expecting to like the book, but nothing prepared me for the treat I was about to receive. The cover itself, with its abundance of color and festive energy was striking enough to get…

Dear Dallas,
You have done many things.
You make me wonder.
You make me wonder about what you are thinking almost constantly.
You make me wonder why you look at me the way you do.
You make me wonder why you think the way you think.
You make me wonder why you say the things you say.
You make me wond

NEW YORK – A 67-year-old man on Thursday admitted hijacking a plane four decades ago and forcing it to land in Cuba, telling a judge how he threatened to cut a flight attendant's throat to get access to the cockpit, where another man held a gun to the back of the co-pilot.
U.S. District Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein forced Luis Armando Pena Soltren to reveal the details of the hijacking, highlighting the violence and frightening nature of an encounter that otherwise might be lost in the stilted lan…

I found out last week that the US printer has made a mistake on some of the copies of Housekeeping for the Soul they sent out to the distributor. By the time the mistake was discovered, the distributor had already sent out a shipment to Amazon.
Although I hope that all faulty copies were retrieved before Amazon filled pre-orders, I have no way to know all of them were. So, if you have pre-ordered a copy, and you receive one with my cover and someone else's book in it (the author is J.M. Harriso…

FARGO, N.D. – Some children lugged sandbags that weighed more than they did. Determined teens showed up just after dawn with groups of friends, ready and willing to shovel. New groups of kids arrived by the busloads, all ready to join the race to protect their city from the rising Red River.
Thousands of volunteers offered a hand this week to fill and stack sandbags to place along the river and near endangered homes as Fargo faces the threat of a severe flood after the river's expected crest Sun…

Please don't offense. I'm writing this to pick on you or to be cavalier. I don't know, maybe it's just me but I'm curious as to why so many people write only depressing poems? Even I was a victim of the fad until the very last line of my latest and only offering, Edit Lament. Even the title is depressing! I don't mean to rain on anyones parade or to cause anyone to get their feelings hurt, I'm just curious. Is there really a market for this kind of work? Wow, If there is, I can make a fortune

“There are no extra pieces in the universe. Everyone is here because he or she has a place to fill, and every piece must fit itself into the big jigsaw puzzle.” ~ Deepak Chopra
Of all virtues a human can have, patience is certainly one I never mastered. For that reason mostly, I’ve never been a fan of jigsaw puzzles. Last night we decided to have fast food for dinner, and my daughter found a puzzle as prize in her happy meal bag. As soon as we got home, she opened the small bag and poured the…

Dallas.
She can’t say the word now without smiling.
Dallas.
Dallas is his middle name.
And Dallas is the place where she saw him. And laughed with him. And had an amazing day.
She piled into the Tahoe with Sister’s boyfriend (aka Boss) and they began their expedition. The next three hours were spent in and out of construction. They talked about everything they could think of, and sang every song they knew at the tops of their lungs. They laugh…

PHOENIX – It's not every day you see a horse fly.
But with the greatest of ease, a heavy-duty helicopter plucked a mustang named Colorado off a western Arizona river sandbar Tuesday morning, reuniting him with his owner.
Colorado spent five days stranded on the sandbar along the Gila River about 36 miles southwest of Phoenix.
The Gila's swift-moving current prevented an earlier rescue and the horse was trapped on the sandbar with a few bushes and trees to munch on. His rider was one of three peo…

WASHINGTON – The Obama administration's pay czar is limiting 2010 compensation for top executives at GMAC Inc. because the auto finance giant continues to lose money and can't yet repay its $16.3 billion taxpayer bailout, according to people familiar with the negotiations.
Only one of the top 25 earners at GMAC will earn more than $500,000 in cash, and CEO Michael Carpenter will receive only stock compensation and no cash, said the people, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were no…

THE TASSEL IS WORTH THE HASSLE
Ariel Allera
At just about eight March 15's ago, this dreamer celebrated the culmination of his dreams: Finally, I hurdled life's challenges by graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism. Today, as I look back to that significant
afternoon and night at the University of the Visayas quadrangle and as I am
trying to share it with you, I can't stop the tears from welling up in my
eyes.
When one is graduating in March, o

LEADVILLE, Colo. – A Colorado woman who says she is the mother of an American held and later released in Ireland over an alleged plot to kill a Swedish cartoonist said Sunday she does not know where her daughter or grandson may be.
Christine Mott, of Leadville, said she learned from federal law-enforcement agencies that her 31-year-old daughter, Jamie Paulin-Ramirez, had been arrested. Irish police said Saturday that they had released an American woman and three others arrested over the alleged…

What The Spring Knows
The Spring knows to wait its’turn
To sparkle after the winter dread
And burst forth with life anew
Reviving nature long since dead
First she’ll bring forth the flowers
Then she’ll awaken blades of grass
As she slowly increases the hours
A gift to man and all living things
She’ll impart a fragrance so inviting
As flowers bloom by her hand
The fragrant smell of the springtime
Spreading…

ATLANTA – Stock market slides may hurt more than your savings. New research suggests they might prompt heart attacks.
Duke University researchers found a link between how a key stock index performed and how many heart attacks were treated at their North Carolina hospital shortly after the recession began in December 2007 through July 2009, when signs of recovery emerged.
The trend weakened after they did a second analysis taking into account seasons of the year. Some research suggests heart atta…

“The man who removes a mountain begins by carrying away small stones.” ~Chinese Proverb
While playing Lego blocks with my daughter, yesterday afternoon, my attention was piqued by a home she had built for one of her little miniature dolls. She had erected the walls around the figurine, and in the excitement of the moment, she had forgotten to include a door.
Here was the poor little doll, sitting in a cluster of colored plastic bricks tightly intertwined together as fingers in prayer; her pain…
